How can you not love wine? You create relationships over wine, and it brings people together. You can have wine to relax, or simply to compliment a nice dinner. What better way to incorporate wine in my life, than to sell it, which is something that I love to do. I love sales because it’s a game of the mind, and it’s a constant challenge. I find such pleasure in meeting people over the phone, and definitely believe in always delivering good customer service. I know that by doing this, I am able to make a difference in someone’s life. Being in wine sales for me is a definite win-win!
As Los Angeles native, I have spent my career working exclusively for fast-paced, trendsetting organizations. I have performed in Front-of-the-House and Management roles for Custom Caterers, Celebrity Chefs- Restaurateurs, and Taste-makers that have helped shape "the California Lifestyle". While attributing my Sales Acumen to my late Father (Don Hamilton), it is under the tutelage of legendary Caterer Milton Williams that I honed my skills set of VIP Client Servicing. Prior to joining VVT, I served as Account Manager/ Business Concierge at the Los Angeles Convention Center- Business Service Center.
I am a Chemical Engineer, and an MBA graduate from Texas Christian University. I am also a licensed advanced open water diver who loves nature, the sustainable way of life, good books, the planet, good food and good music. I believe in cultivation of the good life, and wine has always been an important part of humanity across cultures when we think of this concept! Wine appreciation can bring cultures together and is truly a thing of beauty. love sales because to sell is human. It is a life skill that is important to help us live a purposeful life. Customer service is a means of helping people get their needs met and it is an integral part of business because business is all about bridging needs! I am in this capacity with hopes of helping communities around the world cultivate the good life through wine appreciation.
I think wine is theatrical and poetic! It's a time capsule of sunlight, as every grape and vine individually harbor a moment in time and place like nature's historians. But only after choosing the grapes, style and approach can we anticipate how it will be enjoyed over time. In this fashion wine caters to your needs before you even knew you had them, and by extension so do we! I enjoy sales because I enjoy service, and I mean bespoke service--catered, thoughtful and personal. I think wine shares with us some of our most passionate moments. So I'm determined to stand for passion as not silly but as necessary as laughter. As a Sommelier in fine dining for two decades, what I pursued the most was value! I bring forth my knowledge in order for my clients and guests to get the best value and experience within their price window. This is something that I impart to my wine clients today.
With a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Columbia, I have had the privilege of working across multiple industries in various cities over the past several years. With every experience, success has always boiled down to the same basic principle of cultivating and sustaining relationships. It has been such a pleasure to have met so many new people and hear endless new stories from both a domestic and international perspective throughout my career. With every new face, I am reaffirmed with the value of conversation and how a bottle of wine can make that conversation so much sweeter.
A native Californian, raised in the Napa Valley, wine has held a place in my life for many years, although it wasn't until 2015 that I began selling it over the phone in a professional setting. I hold a Bachelors in Journalism and a level 1 WSET (Wine and Spirits Education Trust) certificate. In layman's terms, I'm an entry-level Sommelier. I often appreciate how wine has a magical way of bringing people together.
And while communication, especially by telephone seems to have become passe', it is always such a treat to be able to connect with those folks who only answer their phone because their wine lady is calling with a phone special on their favorite wine.
While not talking about, thinking about or enjoying wine, I can be found writing in my journal on the beach, grilling in my backyard or exploring the world around me with my best friend and husband, Dan.
Coming from a family of farmers, I moved to Napa to pursue my passion for wine making. I bring a unique insight into the world of wine that only a few are familiar with. As a former Harvest Intern for Quintessa Winery, I have been a part of the production process of wine from start to finish. I am an avid traveler, and have crossed paths with people of all walks of life. This gives me the ability to apply my wine knowledge and tailor all my interactions with my clients.
